BVU Press Release

 

One of my primary roles as Web & Marketing Writer at Buena Vista University involved composing press releases that highlighted newsworthy events about students and professors.

 

This is an example of a press release featuring a professor who integrated a new teaching model into her classroom known as “flipping.” In a flipped classroom, students read content and view pre-recorded lectures via short video or podcast prior to the class session. Face-to-face class time is devoted to discussion and problem-solving activities so students have the opportunity to analyze and reflect upon the knowledge they have already learned from the lectures.
